Viktor & Rolf is a fashion house based in Amsterdam. "Viktor & Rolf" refers to Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, both born in 1969, who met while studying fashion at the Art Academy in Arnhem. The duo bear a slight physical resemblance and are known for being photographed after the fashion shows or walking down the runway in identical outfits.

Their fashion shows are also spectacles in their own right, with artistic presentations such as a single model wearing nine different layers of couture gowns, fashion shows where models wear blue clothing that serves as a "blue screen" for movie projections, and shows where each model wears her own scaffolding with her own lighting and music. For their first men's collection, called "Monsieur," Viktor and Rolf were the models themselves, changing clothes on stage in front of the press and guests.

Perfumes seem to be a natural extension of this creative duo. The first Viktor & Rolf fragrance, Flowerbomb, was introduced in 2004, at the same time as a women's Spring/Summer 2005 fashion collection of the same name "Flowerbomb." Viktor and Rolf chose the name and designed the striking "hand grenade" bottle and packaging. The fragrance was a huge success, with several flankers and limited editions released in the years that followed. A men's fragrance soon followed.
