Based in Paris, Creed is the world's only dynastic, privately owned luxury fragrance company, founded in 1760 and passed down from father to son ever since, serving royal homes and the discerning public for 251 years.

Creed was founded in London in 1760 by James Henry Creed. The first royal request came in 1781 from King George III, for whom Creed created the fragrance Royal English Leather.

In 1956, Creed created Grace Kelly's wedding day fragrance, Fleurissimo, at the behest of her fiancé, Prince Rainier of Monaco. Thus began the long-standing love affair between Hollywood and Creed.

In 2010, Creed celebrated its 250th anniversary by opening its only store in the US at 794 Madison Avenue in Manhattan and creating AVENTUS, described as "mesmerizing" by The New York Times.
