Salvatore Ferragamo Perfumes
Salvatore Ferragamo was an Italian shoe designer known for his creative and scientific approach to shoe design. He learned the trade at a young age and made his first shoes at the age of 9. After a brief period of shoemaker training in Naples, he moved to the United States in 1914, where he briefly worked in a Boston boot factory before setting his sights on the nascent film industry.
In Florence, Ferragamo opened a shop and served the wealthiest customers, including celebrities and influential political figures of the time. He created several unique designs, including the cork wedge and cage heel. In the 1950s, he had stores in both the United States and Italy and his team consisted of 700 artisans.
The first fragrance, Salvatore Ferragamo for women, was launched in 1998. Ferragamo Parfums was founded in 2001, releasing fragrances under the names Ferragamo and Incanto.
