Perfumer Pierre Montale
Pierre Montale, a renowned perfumer and founder of the prestigious niche perfume houses Montale and Mancera, was born in France.
Pierre Montale's career began twenty years ago when he traveled to the Kingdom of Arabia. During his travels, he gained access to confidential materials through the Royal family, which inspired him to create an olfactory universe that eventually led to the creation of the Montale perfume house in Paris in 2003.
Montale uses high-quality, highly concentrated natural materials in its fragrances, resulting in intense and long-lasting fragrances. The brand's signature ingredient is oud, or agarwood, which features prominently in many of its creations.
In 2008, Pierre Montale expanded his olfactory realm by founding the Mancera perfume house, a project that would eventually become a unique collaboration between him and his daughter, Amélie. In 2017, Amélie took on the role of Artistic Director for Mancera fragrances, propelling the multi-generational project forward. Together they create a visual and olfactory dance that takes their clients on a journey to the edge of remote lands where myths are born and the future is drawn.
His travels and experiences greatly influence Pierre Montale's approach to creating perfumes in the Eastern world. His fragrances evoke the senses and visions of a man who travels between distant lands and his homeland, paying homage to French sophistication and material wealth. This exceptional olfactory experience is the trademark of the Montale and Mancera brands.
Located near the Champs-Elysées in Paris, the Montale boutique offers an immersive experience that takes visitors on a journey through the beauties and wonders of the Eastern world. This dedication to capturing the essence of the Orient in its fragrances is a testament to Pierre Montale's unique approach to perfume creation.
