Philippine Courtière is a talented and unique woman who has found her passion in the world of perfumery. Originally trained to become a legal consultant, an apprenticeship in a perfume house changed the course of her life. Although she has always been interested in the creations of her parents, who both worked in perfumery, the epiphany during her internship was a defining moment that she still cannot explain exactly what triggered it.

Philippine also has strong ties to the fashion world. Her grandfather, Jacques Rouet, helped launch the Dior fashion house. Philippine was his first granddaughter and he took her everywhere. He gave her his penchant for superstition, but also his experience, perseverance, energetic nature and a solid sense of self-confidence. He taught Philippine that "willpower and hard work enable you to make your dreams come true."

The perfumer is passionate about her job and gets bored easily without challenges. She practiced ballet and horse riding with the same dedication, until a skiing accident forced her to slow down.

With the same passion, she plunged into learning about Dubai, studied Arabic and left France to discover a new world that immediately piqued her interest. She saw the "folie des grandeurs" of the Middle East as something from dreamland. "In Dubai, every weekend is a holiday and everything is a pretext for celebration and excess." But, although she now lives in Dubai, she remains a Parisian "par excellence" and perhaps she loves this city even more now that she has left it.

It would be difficult to put Philippine in any one category. A Parisian living in Dubai, a keen sportswoman and bon vivant, she is extremely independent and has an inquisitive mind. She is an avid reader and a shrewd art collector. No category would be rich enough for this versatile artist and versatile woman - she can only be described as unique.
