Perfumer Marie Salamagne
Marie comes from a family of doctors where work and passion are closely linked. For her, perfumery was an instinctive calling. She has always been sensitive to smells, from a teacher's perfume to the smell of a new house. This forms the basis of her journey.
She believes that a perfumer combines both craftsmanship and artistry. Marie constantly seeks this magical effect through a unique creative process. She closes the door, collects her notebooks and thinks. Each notebook has its purpose, the largest matching scents with materials, others are dedicated to natural notes, basic notes or her overall vision.
The relationship between materials and color fascinates her. She visualizes her creations as paintings, where shades create contrasts. Marie also enjoys dancing, embracing both the classical style and modern jazz.
Always spontaneous, she experiments impulsively, driven by the desire to bring thoughts and ideas to life. She admits to being impatient and sensitive at times, with a sharp personality that sometimes needs to be wrapped in wool. Perhaps all of these complexities contribute to the lustrous and exuberant scents she creates.
