Perfumer Laurent Bruyere
A self-taught perfumer of exceptional quality, Laurent Bruyère has left an indelible mark in the world of fragrances. Throughout his career he has created countless iconic fragrances for prestigious brands. His unique talent and creativity live on, even though he passed away in 2008 at the age of 43.
What made Laurent Bruyère special was that he had no formal training in perfumery, but honed his skills through hands-on experience and his innate passion for fragrance.
His career started at Charabot where he gained valuable knowledge and expertise. After his first experience at Charabot, Laurent Bruyère joined IFF where he had the opportunity to work under renowned perfumer Dominique Ropion.
This mentoring relationship helped him further refine his skills and deepen his understanding of the art of perfume making. He eventually moved to Mane where he held the title of Senior Perfumer.
Laurent Bruyère has collaborated with many prominent brands, including Yves Saint Laurent, Elizabeth Arden, Lacoste Fragrances, Mugler, and many others. His most iconic creations include Mugler's Alien, Cacharel's Amor Amor, Mugler's Innocent, Lacoste Fragrances' Essential and Yves Rocher's Yria.
