Lancome Perfumes
Lancôme Paris is a French cosmetics company launched by Armand Petitjean, a former Coty employee, in 1935. The company's name was inspired by the ruins of a castle, Le Château de Lancosme, and the brand's rose symbol was inspired by the roses that surround the castle.
Today, the company maintains a prominent position through its advertising campaigns featuring top models and celebrities, captured by leading fashion photographers. A remarkable collaboration with actress Isabella Rossellini lasted 14 years, and the company began presenting Rossellini's daughter, Elettra Rossellini Wiedemann, in 2009. Emma Watson, known for the "Harry Potter" films, recently promoted Lancôme's Tresor Midnight Rose fragrance .
The first Lancôme fragrances from 1935 are women's fragrances Tendre Nuit, Bocages, Conquete, Kypre and Tropiques. Lancôme became part of the L'Oréal family in 1964, producing many of their classic and best-loved fragrances, including Climat, Magie Noire and Tresor.
