Geoffrey Beene Perfumes
The Geoffrey Beene company, part of the Elizabeth Arden group, was founded in 1963 by Geoffrey Beene. Beene was born in Haynesville, Louisiana, USA, in 1924.
Just a year after the company was founded, one of Beene's designs was featured on the cover of the fashion magazine VOGUE. Some of his best-known clients included famous actresses Glenn Close and Faye Dunaway, and Nancy Reagan, the first lady of the US from 1981 to 1989.
For those who couldn't afford the brand's clothes, the perfume was their chance to own "a Beene". Another perfume, Bowling Green, was presented in 1986.
