Christopher Sheldrake is a well-known perfumer in the perfume industry. He was born in the UK and grew up with a love for the arts. It was during his travels that Sheldrake discovered his passion for fragrance.

In the early 1980s, Sheldrake moved to Paris, where he began his career in the perfume industry. He worked for Quest and Shiseido before joining Serge Lutens' legendary perfume house in 1992. Under Lutens' mentorship, Sheldrake developed a deep understanding and appreciation for the art of perfumery.

In 2012, Sheldrake joined Chanel as the in-house perfumer. His work at Chanel includes creating iconic fragrances such as Coco Noir, a modern interpretation of the classic Coco fragrance. Sheldrake continues to innovate and push boundaries in his work at Chanel, bringing his unique artistic vision to the brand's fragrance creations.
