Acqua di Parma was founded in 1916 in Parma and started with the fragrance Colonia , originally intended to perfume men's handkerchiefs. In the 1930s and 1950s it became a symbol of Italian elegance, beloved by stars such as Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn.
After a period of decline, the brand was rescued in the 1990s by three influential Italians. With new lines such as Blu Mediterraneo and luxury travel collections, Acqua di Parma regained its status. In 2003, it became part of LVMH and remains beloved worldwide, with fans such as Kevin Costner and Sharon Stone.
